Enhancing Safety and Connectivity in Raleigh
Reduced Conflict Intersection at Perry Creek Road
The intersection of Perry Creek Road and US 401 is undergoing a transformation to improve safety and reduce congestion. The project includes widening existing bridges over the Neuse River to accommodate an additional lane and a 10-foot multi-use path.
Ligon Mill Road Upgrade
Construction is underway to upgrade the intersection of US 401 at Ligon Mill Road and Mitchell Mill Road in Raleigh. The upgrade aims to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow. The existing Ligon Mill Road intersection will be removed, while portions of the road will remain accessible to properties west of US 401.
401 Corridor Study
The 401 Corridor Study Team is seeking public input on potential alignment options for the future highway. Expanding Highway 401 is anticipated to stimulate growth in Franklin County.
